City of Rocks
The City of Rocks was a stop on the California Trail and is now an excellent photographic, climbing, camping, and hiking area. The City of Rocks National Reserve is an area of 2.5 billion year old granite pinnacles and monoliths. The 700 climbing routes provide climbing to spires that vary from 100- to 600 feet high. Twenty-two miles of hiking trails provide views of arches, windows and overlooks.
